Uganda’s representatives, King’s College Budo, have declared their readiness to compete at the 2026 International School Sport Federation (ISF) World School Golf Championship in Agadir, Morocco, with team captain Ronah Elizabeth Nantale declaring that their mission is to compete for honors and fly the national flag high.

Nantale, who is leading the Ugandan contingent at the global competition, says the team has enjoyed productive preparations and is eager to take on some of the best school golfers from across the world.

“We’ve had two good practice rounds as a team, and we have got enough time to get to know the new courses and discover what they offer. We are ready for the new challenges, to build new friendships, but our main aim is to fly Uganda’s flag high. We are here to compete, not to participate,” Nantale said.

The Ugandan team is among the international delegations that have arrived at the prestigious Golf of Tazegzout, with the championship scheduled to officially tee off on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Tazegzout Golf

Uganda fields four golfers in two age categories, with Nantale and Jeremy Nshabohurira competing in the Under-18 category, while Patricia Mbeiza and Noel Tusiime will represent the country in the Under-15 category.

The championship offers the young Ugandan golfers an important platform to showcase their talent, gain valuable international exposure and measure their abilities against competitors from different countries.

The tournament will be hosted at Tazegzout Golf, a world-class facility featuring 27 holes designed to combine technical challenges with an exceptional golfing experience.

Situated approximately 80 metres above sea level, the course provides spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Morocco’s distinctive argan forests.

Designed by renowned golf course architect Kyle Phillips, the facility blends seamlessly with the natural landscape while preserving the surrounding argan tree vegetation. The 76-hectare property features three distinct nine-hole loops — Green, Red and Blue — each presenting golfers with unique challenges.

The rugged coastal terrain, characterised by deep rocky ravines, will demand precision, confidence and strategic shot-making from the young competitors.

The championship layout also promises a challenging finish, with golfers required to execute technical shots across two deep rocky ravines before completing their rounds along the steep 80-metre cliff edge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Having completed two practice rounds, Uganda’s representatives will now look to turn their preparations into competitive performances as the championship gets underway.

For King’s College Budo, the objective goes beyond participation. The young golfers are determined to represent Uganda with pride, compete for medals and showcase the country’s growing potential in school golf on the international stage.
