There is no greater joy for a family than watching a child grow, discover her talents and gradually make her mark on the world. For Elizabeth Ronnah Nantale, who is captaining the Kings’ College Budo junior golf team representing Uganda at the 2026 International School Sport Federation (ISF) World School Golf Championship in Agadir, Morocco, that journey is already unfolding into an inspiring story of leadership, talent and determination.
From her early days at Namagunga Boarding Primary School, where she distinguished herself through leadership, music and debate, Nantale has consistently demonstrated a passion for excellence that is now taking her beyond the classroom and onto the international sporting stage.
A former Head Girl of Namagunga Boarding Primary School, Nantale was recognised for her leadership qualities and diverse talents. She is a gifted singer who represented the school in debate competitions, where she emerged victorious.
Her academic abilities also came to the fore when she represented Kings’ College Budo in a mathematics competition, further demonstrating her versatility and determination to excel in different fields.
Today, she is adding another remarkable chapter to her journey through golf, carrying Uganda’s national flag at the 2026 ISF World School Golf Championship in Morocco.
For her family, every milestone in her development is a moment of immense pride and gratitude. Watching the young girl with big dreams grow into a national team captain is a testament to the importance of nurturing talent, providing encouragement and believing in children’s potential.
Her story goes beyond winning competitions. It reflects how discipline, confidence, leadership and family support can help young people discover their abilities and pursue opportunities beyond their immediate surroundings.
Speaking to WallNetNews Digital ahead of the championship, Nantale shared her excitement about earning the opportunity to captain Uganda’s team at the international competition for the first time.
For the young golfer, the responsibility of leading her teammates while representing the country comes with pride, determination and a strong sense of responsibility. She will be expected not only to demonstrate her individual golfing abilities but also to provide leadership, encouragement and unity within the four-member Ugandan delegation.
Uganda will be represented by two girls and two boys from Kings’ College Budo, with Nantale and Jeremy Nshabohurira competing in the Under-18 category, while Patricia Mbeiza and Noel Tusiime will represent the country in the Under-15 category.
The championship, scheduled for November 2–8, 2026, at Golf de Tazegzout in Agadir, Morocco, will bring together young golfers from 19 participating delegations. As team captain, Nantale’s focus will be on helping her teammates remain confident, disciplined and committed throughout the competition as they take on some of the world’s promising school golf talents.
For Uganda, the championship offers an opportunity to showcase the country’s emerging golfing talent, while for Nantale, it represents another important step in her personal development as a young sportswoman and leader.
From the corridors of Namagunga Boarding Primary School to the golf courses of Kings’ College Budo and now the international stage in Morocco, Elizabeth Ronnah Nantale’s journey is one that reflects the value of nurturing young talent in both academics and sports. Her transformation from a school leader, singer and debate enthusiast into a national golf team captain demonstrates that young people can excel in multiple disciplines when given the opportunity and support.
For her family, the pride goes beyond the championship results. It is about seeing their daughter grow into a confident young woman, embrace responsibility and pursue her dreams with determination.
As she leads Uganda’s junior golfers in Morocco, Nantale carries more than a golf bag onto the course. She carries the hopes of her family, her school and a country eager to see its young sporting talents shine.
