Uganda Swimming Federation Masters Event set for July 24 in Kampala

The aquatic community in Uganda is gearing up for an exhilarating event as the Uganda Swimming Federation announces its much-anticipated Masters Event, scheduled to take place on July 24th in the vibrant city of Kampala.
Swimming enthusiasts and seasoned athletes alike are eagerly marking their calendars for this prestigious event, which promises to showcase the finest talents in the realm of masters swimming.
Held under the auspices of the Uganda Swimming Federation, this event is poised to be a celebration of skill, determination, and camaraderie.
Wallnetnews understands that at the Kenya Aquatics Masters championship held at Sabis School which was won by Kenya team Harpoons Swimming Club bagging  296 points which attracted over 200 masters swimmers with 35 swim teams.

President of the Uganda Olympic Committee and former president of Uganda Swimming Federation Donald Rukare emphasized the broader significance of masters galas, stressing the importance of networking and fostering social capital among adults.
“I would like to thank my counterparts from Kenya for hosting this event, which I believe will grow in the years to come and enable our swimmers especially those aged 25 to keep themselves fit,” added Rukare.
He extended an invitation to the Kenya team to grace the Uganda Swimming Federation masters event slated for July 24 in Kampala .
The participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their prowess in the water across various disciplines. Whether it’s the freestyle sprint, the challenging butterfly stroke, or the enduring distance events, competitors will test their mettle in a display of speed, stamina, and technique.
