The Key Elements of the New Logo; Symbol of Unity: The central theme of the logo revolves around unity, symbolized by interconnected rings that form a unified circle.
This element underscores UPSSA’s mission to bring together primary schools from diverse backgrounds under a common banner of sportsmanship and collaboration.
Colors Reflecting Diversity: A palette of vibrant colors has been carefully chosen to represent the diversity and richness of Uganda’s primary school community. The combination of bold hues conveys a sense of excitement and inclusivity, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm among young athletes.

Educational Motif: Intertwined with the sporting elements are subtle motifs representing books and education, highlighting UPSSA’s holistic approach to primary school development. This underscores the association’s belief that education and sports go hand in hand in shaping well-rounded individuals.
Simplified Typography: The association’s acronym, UPSSA, is presented in a clean and modern font beneath the logo, ensuring clarity and legibility. The simplicity of the typography reinforces the association’s commitment to clear communication and accessibility.
The unveiling was attended by delegates from primary schools sports across Uganda, members of the executive committee, and key stakeholders in the education and sports sectors.
In his address, Gilbert Orikiriza, Education officer/PES incharge of primary sports, expressed his excitement about the new logo and its symbolic significance in representing the association’s values and aspirations.
“The new UPSSA logo is more than just a visual identity; it is a powerful representation of our commitment to fostering unity, excellence, and the holistic development of our primary school students through sports. We believe it will inspire a sense of pride and belonging among our members and contribute to the positive growth of primary school sports in Uganda.” said Orikiriza.
The assembly concluded with a sense of anticipation for the future of primary school sports in Uganda, as the new logo became the visual embodiment of UPSSA’s dedication to nurturing young talents and fostering a culture of sportsmanship and camaraderie within the nation’s schools.
