Kitara FC Seek To Strengthen Financial Muscle Ahead Of New Season

FUFA Big League side Kitara Football Club are aiming to ensure that they are financially stable during the 2022/23 season which is around the corner.

The Hoima based side which recently got new leadership have a season budget of UGX600M and they intend to raise the money through seasonal memberships, seasonal tickets, sponsorship deals, donations, gate collections and sale of club merchandise.

The seasons tickets have five categories, that is; Platinum (VVIP) at UGX 500,000, Gold (VIP) at UGX 200,000, Silver at UGX 125,000, Bronze at UGX 75,000 and Ivory at UGX 20,000.

According to the missive from the club, the first consignment of the club’s assorted merchandise shall arrive in the country on August 6th 2022. Circulation will begin two days later starting at the clubs office.

Among other developmental projects, the management is set to purchase another Bus at UGX 200M to ease fans movement for home and away matches. Source of the funds for this project hasn’t been disclosed yet.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, outgoing Kitara FC President Godfrey Bamwenda officially handed over office to the in coming President Deo Kasozi Aheebwa at the function held at Kontiki hotel in Hoima City. The event was witnessed by the Resident City Commissioner Mugabi Badru.

The new president thanked the executive arm of Kitara FC for electing him as a new leader of the mighty club dubbed Bunyoro’s pride.

The 38-year old says in his term he will focus on nine areas with firstly opening the club office located at Plot 17, Hoima, Main street Box 444 Hoima. This was done over the weekend. It will serve as secretariat of the club hosting several offices including the CEO, Deputy, President and Accountant.

The club also plans to build a stadium at Kigaya football pitch in Butema, Kampala Road in Hoima with main aim to start hosting home games next season.

The team also aims to improve on their squad depth by signing new players. They have so far signed 11 new players and their main the target is to bounce back to the Uganda top tier league next season.

The above financial accumulation strategies and new bus for the club are also initiatives of the new leadership.
