Fire Destroys Students Properties at Mbarara Senior Secondary School

Students of Mbarara Senior Secondary School today 17th June watched most of their properties get burnt in a fire that gutted their dormitory.

The territorial Police of CPS Mbarara confirmed that it’s investigating circumstances under which fire gutted Nyerere House, a boys dormitory that houses 78 senior one and senior two students at 0945am in the morning while all students were on assembly for an administrative address

The Police Fire brigade was able to get there in time thereby stopping the spread of fire to other dormitories nearby.

Some of the students property that includes books, mattresses and beddings were totally destroyed by the fire but fortunately no student was injured by the fire.

The day students have been sent back home to help decongest the school for safety purposes

Rwizi police PRO Kasasira Samson added that Inquiries into the matter are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.
