71yr old Man Murdered in Rubanda

RUBANDA— Police in Rubanda District is Hunting for unknown people who murdered a 71 year old man in cold blood. The deceased has been identified as John Basigaire a Resident of Hamurwa cell, Hamurwa Town council Rubanda District.

It’s alleged that, on Friday at around 2pm, the deceased left his home and went to Ikumba village, Shebeya Parish Hamurwa sub county the Neighboring village for Social Evening and Never Returned Home.

Elly Master the kigezi Region Police spokes person says that it was today Saturday, morning around 7am when his body was found in a trench of water at the road side of the swamp at Ikumba.

Maate adds that Koshaba Wenceslaus 36yrs reported the matter at Hamurwa Police station where scene of crime was visited and the Body taken to kabale Regional Referral for Postmortem. Maate says that inquiries are at Hand and efforts to have the suspects arrested are going on.

A case of Murder has been registered at Rubanda Central police under the Reference Number CRB 110/2022
