Minister Ogwang names new Namboole board

With few months to officially open the Nelson Mandela national stadium, the facility is still under renovation by the Uganda peoples defence forces engineering brigade.

The stadium that is set to accommodate over some sports disciplines has gone through transitions of management over the years. Today, Tuesday, December 5th 2023, the state minister in charge of sports also Ngariam county member of parliament  Hon Peter Ogwang, according to the document seen by wallnetnews, has appointed a new board.

In the exercise of power vested in him under the memorandum and Articles of Association of Mandela national stadium limited; Article 36 and 37  he has appointed the following as chairperson and members of board directors of Mandela national stadium with immediate effect; Mr Muwanga Barlow Edward John as board chairperson, Ms Anne Abeja, Eng Acheng Innocent Nkuyahaga, Ms Angwech Claire Diana, Mr Okudi Robert Bellamine, Mr Namboga Timothy Ronald and Mr Ali Tagoole as board members.

Compared to other board members who have been appointed since the time of  Hon Charles Bakabulindi also Workers representative in the August house the board has been having an eight man committee managing the stadium for the next three years but this time its a seven man committee.

The role  of this new board as things are seen in sports, it’s  not  going to be a simple role  but  to change Namboole into a place everyone can appreciate.
