Coach Nimrod Kintu of Amus College School is a formidable figure in the world of USSSA-National football competition, a coach whose expertise and dedication command respect across the sporting community.

With a track record of success and a keen understanding of the game, Coach Kintu is someone you simply cannot underestimate.
“Amus College School is ready to make a statement in this year’s USSSA-National football competition,” Coach Kintu asserts confidently. “We’ve been training hard, refining our tactics, and instilling a winning mentality in our players. This year, the trophy is heading to Teso Zone, mark my words.”
Coach Kintu’s belief in his team’s abilities is unwavering, fueled by a deep sense of pride in their talent and determination. “We have a talented group of players who are hungry for success,” he explains.
“They understand the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, and they’re ready to give everything they have on the field.”
As he prepares his team for the challenges ahead, Coach Kintu draws inspiration from the rich footballing tradition of Teso Zone and the unwavering support of the community.
“Football runs deep in our veins here in the Teso Zone,” he says with a smile. “We have a proud history of producing top-quality players, and this year, we’re determined to add another chapter to that legacy.”
With Coach Nimrod Kintu at the helm, Amus College School enters the USSSA-National football competition due in Masaka between April 26th to May 5th 2024, with confidence and determination.
As they set their sights on the coveted trophy, they do so with the knowledge that they have a leader who believes in their potential and will stop at nothing to see them succeed.
For those who don’t know him, Nimrod Kintu featured at KCC (now KCCA) and Nile Football Club under age sides before he played club football at Ntinda, Naguru and later Iganga Town Council in the now Uganda Premier League.At his prime, he also featured for the Uganda U-17 national team (The Cubs).
Coach Nimrod Kintu has witnessed everything through the Uganda Premier League, FUFA Big league, regional tier divisions, Uganda secondary schools and universities football competitions.
His parent school Kololo Secondary School, Ntinda View,  Old Kampala,  St Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High (Kawaala) and now Amus College school are some of the secondary institutions he had handled.
Kintu is holder of a CAF high level coaching and fitness certificate.
Nimrod Kintu has a keen odd scouting eye with the ability to identify potentially talented players, who can be further developed into great products right from infantry to schools, clubs, under-age national sides to the Uganda Cranes and professional.
Meanwhile, Coach Nimrod Kintu is a father  with two sons, the elder is a student at Amus college school and plays for the junior school team
