Uganda: The Remnant generation set to empower 250 young girls in “Ascend women in leadership Conference” 2024

A non-governmental organisation, The Remnant Generation Uganda is set to empower 250 young women in its 1st edition of its annual “Ascend women in leadership conference” as the NGO prepares celebrations of 10 years of transforming the life of a young Ugandan girl.

The event, scheduled for  two days from June 26 to 27th 2024 at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala is aimed to empower women to realize their full potential and achieve success at every level of leadership.

Founder and CEO The Remnant Generation Annebelle Nakabiri Sebakijje stated that “God has endowed each of us with purpose, anointing us with the Holy Spirit and empowering us to make a meaningful impact. Yet, many young women struggle to recognize their innate ability to drive change. Conflicting voices and limiting beliefs perpetuated by society, tradition, and self-doubt can hold them back from embracing their true power. It’s time to break free from the shackles of inadequacy and discover their worth as a capable leaders”.

She also added that part of the benefits from the event is to be inspired by diverse women leaders who will mentor freely as the conference will be graced by seasoned women in leadership. Annabelle also projected that this year’s conference themed, ‘Ascend women in leadership’, to be bigger, better and a day set to inspire and transform the lives of women to know that they can do more.

She said: “It is a day we shall  inspire and transform the lives of today’s young women to know that they can do more, to tell everyone that they can do more, they can achieve their dreams, they can reach their full potentials. I believe that with this year’s conference, they will be able to do more and give more to female genders.

The female gender has always been important to Uganda as over 70% of our workforce are women. When you empower a woman, you empower a generation.

Annebelle also added that the conference is targeting young leaders from schools,  Universities, tertiary institutions, business  world, musicians and everyone with ambitions of becoming a leader in future. It’s one opportunity for any young ambitious focused lady.
