St Marys-Kitende Netball team survive Baptist High School scare

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, the St. Mary’s Kitende Netball team narrowly escaped defeat in a closely contested match against Baptist High School on Saturday, Apirl 20th 2024 at Kitende courts.

The encounter was a true test of resilience and composure as both teams battled fiercely for supremacy on the court with St Mary’s-Kitende winning by 25-24 goals in final of the St Marys-Netball select gala with the winner walking away with UGX 1.5M and first runners up with UGX 1M.

From the opening whistle, it was evident that Baptist High School was a formidable opponent, pushing St. Mary’s Kitende to their limits with their tenacity and strategic gameplay.

Despite facing relentless pressure from their opponents, the St. Mary’s Kitende Netball team refused to back down, showcasing their agility, teamwork, and unwavering spirit.

As the match reached its climax, tensions soared, and every point became crucial in determining the outcome.

Baptist High School launched a relentless assault, threatening to upset the favored St. Mary’s Kitende team.

However, with nerves of steel and a steely determination to succeed, the St. Mary’s Kitende Netball team rallied together, digging deep to find the reserves of strength needed to weather the storm.

In a heart-stopping finale, St. Mary’s Kitende emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins, clinching a hard-fought win against their determined opponents.

Despite the scare, the St. Mary’s Kitende Netball team emerged from the contest with their heads held high, their confidence reinforced, and their resolve strengthened.
