The 5th edition of the Uganda secondary schools sports association (USSSA), Elite games  will be held at Jinja SS with Jinja College co-hosting from  January 25th  to 27th 2024.

A total of 25 games teachers from schools such as Kawanda SS, St.Noa Girls Secondary School Zana, Mt. St.Mary’s College Namagunga, Jinja Progressive, Jinja SS, Jinja College, Standard High School Zana, Buddo Secondary School, Seroma,Christian High School, the Amazima School and Ngora High, held meeting on January 10th  at USSSA Offices at GNS Plaza, Old Kampala chaired by Harriet Margaret Apolot, the 3rd Vice President USSSA where she addressed games teachers from several schools in preparation and reminding schools to register for the Elite Secondary School Championship 2024.

“You are hereby reminded to confirm your slot for the Elite championship by the 15th of January and you can only confirm participation through payment. There may be other schools that are ready to take part so timely communication is very important”.

It should be noted that Jinja has several facilities and they  are ready to welcome participating schools on January  24th, with the boys residing  at Jinja SS while the girls will reside at Jinja College according to Baliraine John Moses.

Meanwhile, the  USSSA team, headed by Hajji Twahil Kitezaala, Hajji Husein Lwembawo and EXCOM member Mr Ayub Khalifa alongside USSSA-Busoga  representative Mr Langa Geoffrey and USSSA Jinja district General secretary Mr Baliraine John Moses, Mr Mugabi Samuel host games teacher and Mr Musota Daniel Organizing secretary at Jinja Sec School, made there final inspection of both hosting schools to assess the progress in areas of accommodation, infrastructures, security and feeding.
