Embattled Rubaga Deputy RCC fires back after his suspension

Rubaga Division Deputy Resident City Commissioner, RCC Herbert Anderson Burora has reportedly been suspended by the office of the President following a complaint filed by the office of the Speaker of Parliament against his disloyal social media bickering.

Burora’s suspension comes barely a day after the photos of the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among meeting with the President marred social media in the wake of the ongoing social media campaign exposing corruption and misuse of taxpayer’s money at the August House.

Sources within the presidency confirmed to this publication that Burora in the wake of his recent social media usage has therefore been suspended by Hajj Yunus Kakande, the secretary in the Office of President, with his matter pending further probe by the appointing authority – the Presidency.

The source further acclaimed that the Speaker reportedly complained about the D/RCC’s continued undermining of the institution of parliament and its leaders through his social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In one of the sarcastic posts via X by the former Nakawa RCC, Burora said; “I told these people to forgive us for not delivering services because your Corporate Social Responsibility budget l that consumed the majority of the Service Delivery Budget has not yet reached them. I took them through your expenditure and they are bitter.”

And now in a post (which seemingly affirmed his suspension), Burora took to X to rant against the Speaker saying he will never kneel before her for whatever reason it may be.

“Over my grave will my Children see a picture of me kneeling before Speaker Anitah Among. Karma is a bitch. Rt. Dishonorable Atutta Atubba Atumalawo welcome to the mud,” Burora posted.

Although the office of the president was yet to issue an official statement regarding Burora’s fate by press time, the exact duration of his alleged suspension remains unclear, it remains to be the first step in disciplinary proceedings against his disloyal behaviour.

The office of the President is responsible for supervising RDCs, RCCs and their deputies.
