The Uganda Prisons Queens delivered a commanding performance at the ongoing East Africa Club Netball Championship in Dar es Salaam, securing an impressive 60-26 victory over the Tanzanian Army JKT, Mbwemi.
Right from the outset, the Prisons set the tone for the match, dominating the first quarter with a commanding 17-5 lead. Their relentless pressure and precision on the court left the Tanzanian Army JKT, Mbwemi, struggling to keep pace.
The second quarter saw the Prisons extend their advantage even further, showcasing their skill and teamwork as they surged to a 36-10 lead. Despite their best efforts, the Tanzanian Army JKT, Mbwemi, found themselves unable to match the Prisons’ intensity and proficiency.
Entering the third quarter with a significant lead of 50-18, the Prisons continued to assert their dominance, maintaining their defensive prowess and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
In the final quarter, the Prisons Queens sealed the deal with a resounding 60-26 win, showcasing their superiority and determination on the court. Their comprehensive victory underscores their status as a formidable force in the East Africa Club Netball Championship, signaling their ambition to claim the title.

The Prisons team’s lineup featured Lillian Ajio (WD), Malisera Àkello (GD), Flavia Donia (C), Ruth Meeme (WA), Christine Namulumba Kango (GS), Stella Nanfuka (GK), and Dorothy Tabia (GA). The substitutes, including Divota Mary Asio, Viola Asingo, Doreen Lukenge, Tausi Issa, Mumena Hadija, and Nakabuye, also made significant contributions to the team’s success.
