Pop and Jubilation at Entebbe Airport as Amus College School’s Silver Medalists jet in

The arrival of the silver medalist Amus College School Boys team at Entebbe Airport from the ISF World Cup was met with jubilant celebrations. Headmaster Richard Olupot, along with a throng of excited supporters, welcomed the triumphant team back home, marking a proud moment for the school and the community.

As the team emerged from the arrival gates, they were greeted with cheers, applause, and vibrant displays of school spirit. Banners with congratulatory messages were held high celebrating the team’s remarkable achievement.

Headmaster Richard Olupot was at the forefront of the welcoming party, beaming with pride as he greeted each team member.

“We are incredibly proud of our boys,” Olupot said. “Their performance at the ISF World Cup has put Amus College School on the map, and their dedication and hard work have paid off spectacularly.”

Coach Nimrod Kintu, who led the team to success, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support. “The boys have shown tremendous resilience and skill throughout the tournament. This warm reception is a testament to the support and encouragement we have received from everyone back home,” he remarked.

Team captain Toto Majub Brain, carrying the silver medal, spoke on behalf of the players. “We are thrilled to be back home and to see such an amazing welcome. Competing in the ISF World Cup was an incredible experience, and we are proud to have represented Uganda and Amus College School,” Majub said. “This achievement is just the beginning, and we are motivated to continue working hard and aiming even higher.”

The headmaster also highlighted the significance of this achievement for the school and the broader community. “This silver medal is not just a victory for the team, but for all of us. It shows what can be accomplished with determination, teamwork, and support. We will continue to invest in our students and provide them with opportunities to excel both academically and in sports,” Olupot added.

As celebrations continued at the airport, it was clear that the success of the Amus College School Boys team had inspired many. The team’s return marked a moment of pride and unity, reinforcing the values of perseverance and excellence that the school stands for.

However, in the Quarter finals, Amus College school beat Turkey 5-4 after two-all draw, Semi-Finals beat Bukedea Comprehensive School 5-3 after a goalless draw and in Final played against host China and lost on spot kicks 5-3 after a two all draw in normal time to settle for Silver Medal.

It Should noted that  it was the second ISF World Cup  Amus College School representing Uganda with the first held in Rabbat, Morocco were they finished 17th position and this time Amus College School was drawn in Group G, alongside Benin, Chinese  Taipei and Kenya, finishing Second position.
