As the 2024 season unfolds, Justus Mugisha, the  president of Uganda secondary schools sports association (USSSA), has issued a stern warning against bending the rules set forth by the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA).

Mugisha, known for his unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of sportsmanship, has emerged as a vocal advocate for fair play and transparency within the USSSA.

In a recent statement, he emphasized the importance of respecting the rules and regulations established by the association, urging all stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.

The warning comes amidst concerns of potential violations and circumventions of USSSA rules, which threaten to compromise the integrity of school sports competitions.

Mugisha reiterated that any attempts to bend the rules, whether through unethical practices or unfair advantages, will not be tolerated and will be met with swift and decisive action.

Furthermore, Mugisha emphasized the need for strict enforcement of USSSA regulations to ensure a level playing field for all participants.

He called upon coaches, players, officials, and administrators to prioritize integrity and sportsmanship above all else, reminding them of their collective responsibility to uphold the values of fair play and respect for the game.

Mugisha’s warning serves as a rallying cry for the entire sporting community to uphold the principles of honesty, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of school sports competitions.

By adhering to USSSA rules and regulations without exception, participants can uphold the integrity of the game and ensure a fair and equitable playing field for all.

As the 2024 season progresses, Mugisha’s message resonates as a reminder that in the pursuit of victory, the true measure of success lies not in bending the rules, but in competing with honor, dignity, and respect for the sport.

His warning serves as a beacon of guidance for all stakeholders, guiding them towards a future where sportsmanship prevails and the spirit of competition remains untarnished by dishonesty or deceit.
