MP Kamusiime Caroline donates health care items to save lives
The woman member of parliament for Rukiga district Hon Kamusiime Caroline Muhwezi has today donated essential healthcare items to Mparo Health Centre iv in Rukiga district as a way of enhancing healthcare service in the region.
Caroline donated items like fifteen hospital beds, tables, medical storage cabinets and an infant incubator.
While giving out these items, Hon Caroline has stressed that the construction of the new maternity ward there was a need for the hospital equipments which forced her to procure such equipment’s to curb the death rate of expectant mothers in the district.
Hon has a special note thanked the ministry of Health and HE YK Museveni the president of Uganda for lifting mparo to health Centre iv and for supporting them in the construction of the maternity ward.
Speaking during the same function, Dr. Mucugunzi Godfrey the in charge of Mparo Health Centre iv has stressed that the hospital had a challenge of lack of enough shortage of beds due to increased number of patients and that same them would sleep on the floor and has thanked Hon Caroline for supporting them with beds.
Elina Masajja and Akasigunza Reachel same of patients told our reporter that they had a challenge of shortage of beds in the hospital and the electricity being off and on and they have on a special note thanked Hon. Caroline for solving their problems.
