Masaka, Uganda – The stage is set at Kako Secondary School as the USSSA-Masaka District Ball Games-2 qualifiers commence on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.
Schools from across the district will gather to compete in various sports, with the aim of advancing to the USSSA-Greater Masaka zone qualifiers in Sembabule.
Kandugala Secondary School, based in Masaka City, is primed and ready to showcase its prowess in multiple categories, including Netball, Football U-15, Volleyball, and Athletics.

The school’s athletes are focused on securing their spot in the next stage of the competition, to be held at St. Kizito Matete Secondary School in Sembabule from June 29th to 30th.

The atmosphere at Kako Secondary School is buzzing with excitement as athletes, coaches, and supporters prepare for the upcoming USSSA-Ball Games -Two.
The school grounds were filled with Kako secondary school athletes practicing and fine-tuning their strategies in anticipation of the intense competition.
However, Kandugala Secondary School’s headteacher Yahaya Ssengabi expressed confidence in his teams’ preparations.
“Our students have trained hard, and we are focused on qualifying for the next round. The competition will be challenging, but we are ready to perform at our best in Netball, Football U-15, Volleyball, and Athletics,” Ssengabi stated.
The qualifiers at Kako Secondary School will feature numerous schools from the district, each vying for the chance to progress to the greater zonal competitions.
The event is expected to draw a large crowd of spectators, including parents, local community members, and sports enthusiasts, all eager to support their teams.
Masaka District’s Sports Coordinator Makoha Patrick highlighted the significance of these qualifiers in fostering sportsmanship and developing young talent.
“The USSSA-Masaka District Ball Games-2 qualifiers provide an essential platform for our students to display their skills and compete at higher levels. We are proud of all the participants and look forward to a thrilling competition,” the coordinator remarked.
As the date approaches, Kandugala Secondary School and other participating schools are diligently preparing to compete.
