IBA Vice President Volodymyr to visit Uganda

International Boxing Association (IBA) vice -President Volodymyr Prodyvus will pay a visit to Uganda at the invitation of Uganda boxing federation President Moses Muhangi.

Volodymyr Prodyvus will be arriving in the country on Sunday, February, 25th 2024, marking a significant occasion for the Ugandan boxing community and the ongoing collaboration between IBA and Uganda.

During his visit, Mr. Volodymyr will engage in various activities aimed at fostering the growth and development of boxing in Uganda.

The visit is expected to include; Meetings with key stakeholders, including officials from the Uganda Boxing Federation, coaches, athletes, and other members of the boxing community.

These meetings will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen the relationship between IBA and Uganda.

Promotion of Boxing Culture: Mr. Volodymyr’s visit will also include initiatives to promote the culture of boxing in Uganda, encouraging youth participation and fostering a sense of community engagement through the sport, Exploration of Collaboration Opportunities:

Discussions will be held to explore potential areas of collaboration and support that IBA can provide to enhance the overall landscape of boxing in Uganda.

Talking to wallnetnews, the Uganda boxing federation (UBF) President Muhangi Expressed Delight in Hosting IBA Vice President Volodymyr.

“I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Volodymyr and express my sincere appreciation for the collaboration between IBA and UBF, his visit signifies a significant step in strengthening the ties between IBA and UBF, with a shared commitment to the advancement and promotion of boxing in Uganda,” said Muhangi.

“We see Mr. Volodymyr’s visit as an opportunity to celebrate the collaborative efforts between IBA and UBF. Together, we aspire to enhance the landscape of boxing in Uganda and create a platform for our athletes to shine on the global stage, UBF is grateful for the continuous support from IBA, and we are confident that Mr. Volodymyr’s visit will contribute significantly to the growth and development of boxing in Uganda,” he added.

Mr. Volodymyr’s visit will be a momentous occasion for the Ugandan boxing community, contributing to the continued growth and success of the sport in the country.

Meanwhile, last year on on Saturday, November, 18th 2023, excitement filled the air as the International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev made his second visit to Uganda abroad his private jet and was warmly welcomed by the State Minister of Sports Peter Ogwang and Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi.
Where he visited Masaka Kids Africana and Masaka Boxing Club, checking on the Masaka Kids Africana Foundation that shared him a dancing video, supporting the boxing community, and meeting government officials on sports and investment.
