Glamour, pomp and elegance as Lwere and Nassimbwa make it official

It was all glamour, pomp and elegance as Florence Nassimbwa and Sam Lwere made their love official in a ceremony still licking up Uganda sports lovers and friends’ lips to date.

On January 13th, 2024 in the heart of Busoga,Sam Lwere and Florence Nassimbwa in an opulent ceremony held in Bugembe, exchanged their marital vows.

The wedding ceremony was presided over by the Bishop of Busoga Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Dr Paul M.S. Naimanhye, who administered the marriage vows to the couples.

In the bishop’s sermon, he delivered a powerful message from the Song of Solomon in the Bible, “Set me as a seal upon your heart, a seal upon your arm. For love is as strong as death. Passion fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire. A raging flame. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it out.”

The friends and Workmates of Sam Lwere and others honoured the church ceremony and became eligible witnesses to the vows.

The Lecturer at Uganda Christian University Mr Alfred Mwoya signed the marriage certificates of the newlyweds as a key witness to the ceremony and later invited the guests at a grand reception at Civil service college, Jinja City.
