Deputy speaker Tayebwa reveals gov’t plans to fund construction of workshops at presidential industrial Hub during graduation celemony of over 462

The Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa, Deputy Speaker of Parliament has today revealed plans by government to inject 10 billion shillings in construction of workshops that will enable graduate students from the Presidential Industrial HUB to work for around six months until they secure their own capital to start own businesses and become self-reliant.

Speaking as a Chief Guest on the 1st Graduation Ceremony of 462 students from the 01 and 02 intakes at the Presidential Initiative Zonal Industrial HUB for Kigezi Sub-region located in Kamuganguzi sub-county, Ndorwa West, Kabale District, Tayebwa emphasized that if this is effectively implemented, it will help to monitor these youths after graduating from the Industrial HUB.

He further revealed that equipping children with skills is crucial in the fight against poverty within households because the program aims to provide vocational training and entrepreneurship skills to individuals from the local community, empowering them with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in various industries.

Tayebwa’s announcement of plans for common user facilities highlights the government’s commitment to supporting small businesses and promoting economic growth in the region by providing resources such as workshops and funding opportunities.

Graduates of the program will have a better chance of establishing successful careers and contributing positively to their communities.

However, the Uganda’s state Minister for Trade, Industry and cooperative (Industry) who is also Ndorwa West lawmaker Hon David Bahati explained that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the President of the Republic of Uganda had a vision of equipping youths with skills as part of transformation.

He added that having skills will help our country to create jobs which is part of National Resistance Movement (NRM) program pledging to maintain the support because it gears up Industrialization and address the issues of poverty and unemployment in the country Uganda.
