CAF head of Women football goshime in Uganda

The Head of women’s football at the Confederation of African football (CAF) Meskerem Tadesse Goshime has arrived in Uganda ahead of the inaugural Women in Football Bonanza to be held on Wednesday, November  29th 2023 at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.

According to FUFA Communication director Ahmed, Meskerem will be a special guest at the event and will  handle a topic named: Strategies for increasing participation and support for women’s football.

Meskerem is a resourceful sports manager with the expertise of working in different aspects of women football management and sports event organisation.

The Chairperson of the organising Committee of the Women in Football Bonanza FUFA 3rd Vice President Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi confirmed the arrival of Meskerem.

“We are glad to welcome a special guest to the event and we believe she will add a lot of value to what we want to achieve on the day and in the long term. She has vast knowledge about women’s football in the region and the continent’ noted Hon. Nakiwala.

The FUFA Vice President also confirmed that the programme is going according to plan with full support from the federation, sponsors Guiness and Finance Trust Bank.

She also confirmed that the invitations have been sent out to the guests and stakeholders with attachment to women football in Uganda.

‘The guest list will include people serving in women football, supporting the game and those investing in it. We have a guest list of 250 people’
Meanwhile, The Women in football Bonanza that will start at 3pm is organized under the theme ‘Football A vehicle for National Development and Unity’
