The event was graced by notable figures in Ugandan football, including Justus Mugisha, the Patron of USFA and FUFA Vice President, and Richard Ochom, a FUFA Executive Committee member, who attended as the Chief Guest.

Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi, the Chairman of USFA, emphasized the importance of the approved budget in advancing school football competitions across the country. “We will use the funds to co-fund various school football competitions for the 2024-2025 season, including the Odilo Tournament, Girls Football tournaments, and CAF Schools Tournaments,” Kiyingi stated in an interview with Wallnetnews. He also highlighted the budget’s role in promoting mass participation in football and supporting capacity-building training programs for football development.

In addition to Chairman Kiyingi’s remarks, Harriet Apolot, a USFA delegate, shared her thoughts on the assembly during an interview with Wallnetnews. She expressed optimism about the future of school football in Uganda, stating, “Today’s assembly has set the stage for a brighter future for our young footballers. The budget will enable us to reach more schools and provide better opportunities for students to develop their football talents.”

The approved budget marks a pivotal step in USFA’s mission to nurture football talent in schools across Uganda, ensuring that the sport continues to grow and thrive at the grassroots level.
