In an interview with Wallnetnews, UVF Vice President Ahmed Abdallah Kigundu expressed his satisfaction with the developments, stating, “It’s one of the best AGMs I have ever attended. The passing of the amended constitution and the attraction of more institutions to return to the sport as affiliates eager to participate in the league is just incredible. This is an indication of the right path we are taking as an executive.”
Kigundu also highlighted the federation’s focus for the coming year, which includes enhancing media presence and perfecting ongoing projects.

He emphasized the importance of returning to Lugogo Indoor Stadium, a significant venue for volleyball in Uganda, at all costs.
The assembly also approved changes to the constitution, particularly concerning who qualifies as delegates with the right to vote during election times. This amendment is seen as a step towards ensuring more inclusive and representative decision-making within the federation.
With a solid financial plan in place and the introduction of new affiliates, the Uganda Volleyball Federation is poised for a year of growth and development.

The approved budget and the strategic focus on media and infrastructure are expected to strengthen the sport’s position in Uganda, setting the stage for continued success both nationally and internationally.
