69 Schools qualify for Netball at National Secondary Schools Ball Games II Championship 2024

A total of 69 schools have qualified in the Netball discipline from 14 USSSA zones for the National Secondary Schools Ball Games II Championship 2024, set to take place at Teso College-Aloet from July 9th to 17th, 2024. Eleven schools from four zones—Bugisu, Acholi, Karamoja, Sebei, and West Nile—are yet to be confirmed.

Top Qualifying Zones with so many slots, Wakiso-10 schools, Masaka- 8 schools and Kampala- 7 schools.

Wakiso Zone Schools; St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende, Buddo Secondary School, Kawanda Secondary School, St. Noa Girls Secondary School, Madina Islamic Secondary School, Green Light Islamic Secondary School, Boston High School Mpala, Maryland High School Entebbe, Kajjansi Progressive Academy and Rines Secondary School.

Kampala Zone Schools; Baptist High School, Kibuli Secondary School, Ahmadiyya Muslim High School, Kawempe Muslim School, Broadway High School, Kakungulu Memorial School and  Luzira Secondary School
Masaka Zone Schools;

Bwikya Muslim Muslim Netball team

Kaddugala Secondary School, Nile Citizen Secondary School – Kalisizo, St. Josephine Bakhita, Blessed Sacrament Kimanya, Victoria College Lukaya, St. James Secondary School Kyotera, Mateete Comprehensive Seed School and Mawogola High School

Luwero Zone Schools; Standard High School Kateera, Nankabirwa Memorial School, Busika Muslim School and Amazing Grace School
Mukono Zone Schools; Hamdan Secondary School, St. Kalemba Secondary School, St. John Secondary School Kauga, Dynamic Secondary School and Namagabi Secondary School

Mpigi Zone Schools; Ngando Secondary School, Gombe Secondary School, St. Francis Secondary School Busunju, Mumsa High School, Shammah High School and Kyanja High School

Busoga Zone Schools; Jinja Senior Secondary School, Iganga Town View School and St. Lawrence Secondary School Idudi

Bukedi Zone Schools; Rubongi Army Secondary School – Tororo, Rock High School – Tororo and Great Aubrey Memorial College – Tororo
Lango Zone Schools; St. Mary’s Magdalene, Lira Town College, Akalo Secondary School and Dara Christian High School

Teso Zone Schools; Bukedea Comprehensive School, Amus College School, Soroti Secondary School, Ngora High School and Dr. Aporu Okot Memorial School

Bunyoro Zone Schools; Trinity Catholic High School, Bwikya Muslim Secondary School, Masindi Secondary School and Masindi Army Secondary School, several other schools from three zones  that have also qualified for the National Secondary Schools Ball Games II Championship 2024,

Rwenzori Zone Schools; Fort Portal Secondary School, Hillside Nyanduli Secondary School and Bwera Secondary School
Ankole Zone Schools; Kibatsi High School, Mbarara Army Secondary School and Maryhill High School

Kigezi Zone Schools; St. Jerome Secondary School, Kihanga Secondary School, Bishop Comboni College Kambuga and St. Mary’s College Rushorooza.

According to a circular seen by Wallnetnews dated July 2nd, 2024, a pre-screening exercise for the qualified schools will take place from July 3rd to 7th, 2024, at the USSSA Head Offices in GNS Plaza with Games teachers  required to bring the following documents to assist in the screening exercise;

PLE Pass-slips: For all athletes from S1 to S4, PLE Pass-slip & UCE Pass-slip: For athletes in S6, or UCE recommendation for athletes in S5 & S6, Recommendation Letter:

For athletes in S1 & S2, Identity Cards: For all athletes presented for screening and Any Other Relevant Documents.

This pre-screening exercise is crucial to ensure the eligibility and proper documentation of all athletes participating in the championship.

The National Secondary Schools Ball Games II Championship promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the talents and sportsmanship of students from across Uganda.
