St Mary’s Kitende’s supremacy in Netball unstoppable after narrow victory over Buddo Secondary School

Wakiso, Uganda — St Mary’s Kitende has once again asserted their dominance in netball by clinching the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) – Wakiso District trophy.

In a closely contested final, St Mary’s Kitende triumphed over their rival, Buddo Secondary School, with a score of 19-17.

This victory not only secures the district trophy for St Mary’s Kitende but also qualifies them for the upcoming FEASSA games.

Sentoogo Kisule, the patron of netball at Kitende, expressed determination and focus in an interview with Wallnetnews, stating, “There is no time to rest; our focus now shifts to defending the FEASSA title.”

Head Coach Nodrine Kato praised the girls for their exceptional performance, saying, “The team showed great skill and determination. I’m proud of their hard work and commitment.”

Besides St Mary’s Kitende, nine other schools have secured their spots to represent the Wakiso zone at the USSSA-Nationals, set to take place at Teso College – ALOET in July.

These schools include; Buddo Secondary School, Kawanda Secondary School, St Noa Girls, Madina Islamic, Boston High School, Merry Land School, Green Light Islamic, Kajjansi Progressive School and Rines Secondary School.

Meanwhile, St Mary’s Kitende, alongside the other qualified schools, will be gearing up for the USSSA-Nationals.

The competition is expected to be fierce, with each team aiming to showcase their best performance and vie for the national title.

For St Mary’s Kitende, the goal is clear: to defend their FEASSA title and continue their reign in netball.
