USSSA-Serere Boys, Girls Football Qualifier Draws – Halcyon Serere Placed in the “Group of Death”

As the secondary schools in the country prepare for the Uganda secondary schools sports association Boys football qualifiers in various districts in mid march, 2024.

The executive committee of the USSSA-Serere district in a planning meeting with games teachers sitting at Serere Secondary school on Wednesday, February 28th 2024 held the USSSA-Katakwi Boys Football Qualifiers, and with great excitement they revealed the draws and formation of a highly competitive “Group of Death.”

In this draw, Halcyon Serere campus was pitted against other formidable opponents, setting the stage for an exhilarating and closely contested series of matches.

Group of Death – Boys Football Qualifiers; Group B,Halcyon Serere, Home warda High school, Labour High School, Emmanuel X-tics and Kamad High school.

Excitement was felt yesterday as the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) in Serere District unveiled the preliminary round draw for the highly anticipated 2024 Boys Football Qualifiers.

The draw sets the stage for a thrilling competition, showcasing the talent and passion of young footballers from various secondary schools in the region.

“I am delighted to extend my sincere gratitude and express my happiness to all the games teachers who graced the USSSA-Serere Preliminary Round Draw for the 2024 Boys Football Qualifiers,” said Apolot.

“Your presence added immense value to the event, and it was truly a pleasure to witness your dedication to promoting sports and nurturing the talent of our young athletes,” she added.

The USSSA-Serere draw has set the stage for an exciting competition, and the enthusiasm displayed by the games teachers during the event was a testament to the passion for fostering a culture of sportsmanship and teamwork among students.

“As we embark on this journey of the Boys Football Qualifiers, I am confident that with the support and guidance of dedicated games teachers like yourselves, the tournament will not only be a showcase of athletic prowess but also a platform for imparting valuable life lessons and building character, ” she stated.

Meanwhile, the USSSA – SERERE District Boys and Girls football qualifiers, will kick off on March 13th-18th 2024 hosted at Kyere Secondary School.
