
USSSA gears up preparations prior to Annual ordinary assembly

The Uganda secondary schools sports association (USSSA) is focused towards holding a successful Annual Ordinary Assembly at GNS Hotel on GNS plaza opposite Gaddaffi Mosque Old Kampala road.
According to the circular seen by wallnetnews DATED September 12th 2023, signed by the USSSA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Christopher Banage Mugisha hinted on the preparations for the AGM, a mandate of the USSSA constitution in compliance with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES).

‘We are glad to announce that USSSA will hold its Ordinary Assembly at GNS Hotel on GNS plaza opposite Gaddaffi Mosque Old Kampala road in Kampala region on Saturday, October 14th 2023 in line with the statures of USSSA. The standard agenda of this Ordinary Assembly is by constitution. The notice has been already sent to honorary zonal chairpersons and secretaries.
When contacted on phone the Uganda secondary schools sports association (USSSA) CEO Christopher Banage Mugisha confirmed that there will be a live stream for the assembly to carter for the people who will follow the proceedings from the confines of their homes.

The chief guest confirmed for the assembly is the State Minister of Sports also Ngariam county Member of Parliament Hon. Peter Ogwang.
The invite list also has officials from the National Council of Sports (NCS), Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC), National federation presidents and each zone is requested to be represented by a maximum of five (5) delegates who must be executive members out of which one (1) must be a female.

These Zone members of USSSA are 19; Kampala, West Nile, Acholi, Lango, Karamoja, Teso, Bukedi, Busoga, Bunyoro, Toro, Ankole, Kigezi, Wakiso, Masaka, Mpigi, Luwero, Mukono, Bugisu and Sebei
Meanwhile, what is expected at the USSSA Ordinary Assembly; Address from the chairperson, Correction and approval and matters arising, Activity report 2023-2024, Deliberation on matters for approval of audited financial statements and Sports calendar and hosting of FEASSSA Games 2024 and national championship 2024.
