Teso Zone Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association Unveils Activity Calendar for 2024

The Teso Zone Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has revealed its much-anticipated activity calendar for the year 2024, outlining a series of events aimed at promoting sports development and fostering healthy competition among member schools.

The comprehensive calendar, meticulously crafted in consultation with stakeholders and sporting authorities, serves as a roadmap for the zone’s sporting activities throughout the year.

Key Highlights of the Activity Calendar:
Inter-Schools Competitions:-The calendar features a diverse array of inter-school competitions spanning various sporting disciplines, including football, basketball, athletics, volleyball, and more.

These competitions provide a platform for student-athletes to showcase their talents and represent their schools with pride.

Teso Executive

District Championships:-Teso Zone USSSA will host district-level championships across the Teso sub-region, where schools will compete for top honors and the opportunity to advance to higher levels of competition.

These championships serve as a breeding ground for talent identification and development, nurturing the next generation of sporting champions.

Training Camps and Workshops:-In addition to competitive events, the calendar includes training camps and workshops designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of coaches, officials, and administrators within the Teso Zone USSSA community.

These capacity-building initiatives aim to promote best practices in sports management and foster a culture of excellence in sports leadership.

Selection and Participation in National Championships:- Outstanding performers from the district-level championships will have the opportunity to represent Teso Zone USSSA at the national level, competing against top athletes from across the country.

Community Engagement and Outreach:- The activity calendar also emphasizes community engagement and outreach initiatives aimed at promoting sports participation and healthy lifestyles beyond the school environment.

Meanwhile, TEZSSSA Excom planning meeting held in Soroti City, Ngora district will host ball games one and Serere district will host ball games two.

With February 23rd has been earmarked for Symposium for all games teachers in all the secondary schools in Teso zone and all district Chairpersons, secretaries and treasures at Soroti SS, March 15th – 20th all district competitions to take place while March 28th is for reporting date and Verification of District teams for Zonal competition in Ngora and March 29th March – 1st April, Zonal competition.
