Tears of Joy as schools qualify for 2023 USSSA national racquet games

Kampala – It was all tears of joy at the Uganda secondary schools sports associations (USSSA) racquet games qualifiers for the 2023 finals to be held in Mbarara as participants jubilated at Nabisunsa Girls School, after their schools made it to the national edition.

The USSSA Fresh Dairy funded games qualifiers were held over the weekend and attracted 37 schools that produced 80 teams in badminton, both boys and Girls, table tennis both boys and girls.

The qualifiers which took place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April 2023 climaxed by seeing twelve (12) boys badminton teams, (12) girls badminton teams, (12) boys table tennis teams, and (12) girls table tennis teams qualifying for nationals which will be held in Mbarara at Ntare School between May 6th to 15th.

The qualified schools for the Fresh Dairy ball games;

Table Tennis

Boys; Kibuli SS, Namilyango College, St. Michael International, Mbogo Mixed, St. Andrew College Sanda, Caltec Academy, Kawanda SS, Mbogo College, Ubuntu Hill, Kakungulu Memorial, Busoga College and Jinja College.

Girls; Mbogo Mixed, Nabisunsa Girls, Mbogo High, Seeta High Mukono, Mbogo College, St. Andrew College Sands, St Michael International, Kawanda SS, Ubuntu Hill and Kakungulu Memorial.

Badminton

 Boys; Kibuli SS, Kinaawa High school Kawempe, Mbarara High, St. Michael International, Kawanda SS, Kisaasi college, Kakungulu Memorial, Kings College Buddo, Lubiri SS, St Mary’s college Kisubi, St. Michael and Namilyango College.

Girls; Mbogo High school, Lubiri SS, Trinity College Nabbingo, Rubaga Girls, Gayaza High, Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga, Nabisunsa Girls, Kings College Buddo, Kawanda SS, St. Michael International and Mariam High, St Michael.

Lawn Tennis

Boys; Ntare School, St, Mary’s College Kisubi, Kibuli SS, Mengo SS, Kings College Buddo, Mwiri College, Kololo SS, Kigezi High and Bombo Army.

Girls; Nabisunsa Girls, Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga, Kibuli SS, Maryhill High School, Mengo SS, Gayaza High School and Kings College Buddo, Old Kampala.
