Stanbic Uganda Cup: Startimes Uganda Premier League side Maroons slayed

Kampala – Regional league sides Kisugu United and Kiyinda Boys have reached the Round of 32 of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup at the expense of Uganda Premier League sides Maroons and Gaddafi.

At Ssaza Grounds in Mityana, Kiyinda Boys edged Gaddafi 1-0 whereas Kisugu Utd defeated Maroons 2-1 at Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi.

Of the three Uganda Premier League teams that were in action on Thursday, only Blacks Power advanced thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bukedea Central at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.

In another shocking victory, Gorilla Highland eliminated Big League side Kataka following a 2-0 win at Mashaka Playground in Kisoro.

Kisugu, Kyinga, Gorilla Highland, and Blacks Power have joined 11 others in the Round of 32 of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup.

Villa, Police, Vipers, BUL, Kitara, Ndejje University, Jinja North United, Admin, Junior Eagles, Pajule Lions, and Blue Stars are the other teams already in the Round of 32.

Bukedea Central 0-1 Blacks Power

Gorilla Highland 2-0 Kataka

Kiyinda Boys 1-0 Gaddafi.
