Mbarara – There has been several rumours spreading around Mbarara city following the closure of a top hang out joint  called Signature Premium Bar saying it had collapsed after counting losses forcing it to shut down due to countless losses.
Signature Premium  bar has been  closed for about  three weeks without operating. All operations  at the place that including, bar, and restaurant have been brought to a standstill.
Currently, entrance to the bar is restricted to outsiders.  This has made night life lovers are very worried about the incident on the closure of the bar.
According to sources, it is alleged that debts have overpowered the owner of the bar Gerald Tukamuhebwa  who opted to close it in order to sort himself first.
Some of the debts that have been identified by our sources include Ugx35m for UMEME bills,  Ugx5m for one of the stationeries in Mbarara and other debts from different suppliers which he did not pay.
Signature has been a reception of VIPs, corporates and celebrities from the all corners of Uganda. It is located in Mbarara opposite Independence park.
Some of the people have also revealed that when MC Kacheche and DJ Max left Signature as part-time workers, it was the start of its downfall. The duo  resigned some time back and joined Vibes Lounge.
Sources intimate to us that when the duo left Signature, they attracted most of the clients from their who followed them at Vibes Lounge; a new happening place in the city. The two celebrities left after failing to agree to terms and conditions put to them by their boss.
However, Tukamuhebwa, the Signature Premium Boss dispelled the rumours about the closure of the business claiming that they are intending to tarnish the business name.
Tukamuhebwa said that the bar  has not collapsed instead they have only closed for a while, as they do some renovation to improve on the standards of its operations and services.
Tukamuhebwa added that the bar will soon have a massive grand re-opening when renovations are done.
He further said that in business there is a lot challenges one must face most especially competition where your competitors wish you to fail and they takeover. He also said that when an employee leaves it does not cause a business to collapse or close.
Tukamuhebwa added that MC Kacheche and DJ Max were good at employees but failed to follow terms and conditions laid out to them, and said that their departure did not affect the bar at all.
Tukamuhebwa is a former Procurement  officer for Ntungamo District, and was the proprietor of Dinners Bar in Kampala which allegedly collapsed some time back.
After Dinners failed,  Tukamuhebwa never gave up, he then went to Mbarara and started Signature Premium in 2018 and it has been on a top notch  bar since its opened door to revelers.
