Rotary Club of Mgahinga Kisoro President lauds Chahi Seed School Interact Club for its good performance

Kisoro – The President of Rotary Club of Mgahinga Kisoro, Rwabinuma Innocent Nsaba has promised to provide a charter to the Interact Club of Chahi Seed secondary school as an appreciation for its great performance.

Rwabinuma said this on Saturday during the commemoration of world Interact day and installation of new Club leaders at Chahi Seed secondary school in Chahi sub-county where he was the guest of honour.

According to Rwabinuma, Interact and Rotaract clubs are youth clubs that produce Rotarians. He added that an Interact club that is required to have two projects in a year.

However, in a report given by Munyamahoro Joseph, the serving president of Chahi Seed secondary school Interact Club, the club has done a number of projects including donating beds and other hospital supplies to Nyabihuniko Health Center III, general cleaning in communities around the school, expanding members from two to seventy among other achievements.

This impressed Rwabinuma and pledged to assist in getting a charter for the club that will help it to be widely recognized and attract more funding.

He also promised that Rotary Club of Mgahinga will be providing financial support to finance the Interact club of Chahi Seed secondary school.

Ezra Ndagije, the former President of Rotary club of Mgahinga Kisoro who was also present commended Chahi Seed Interact club for working tremendously well, adding that when it gets chartered, it will be internationally recognized.

He implored the Interact club members to be well disciplined and stick to Rotary values.

The deputy head teacher of Chahi Seed secondary school, Mahoro Doreen asked Interact club members to always be exemplary and represent the school well, not acting like those waylaying citizens at night.

Among the activities that were done to commemorate the day included, tree planting and general cleaning by both the Interact club members of Chahi Seed School, guests and staff that were present.
