Police stuck with unidentified body in kabale

Police in Kabale district are stuck with the body of an unidentified male adult who was yesterday discovered tied in a sack, in a decomposing state with several injuries on the head and a deep stab wound on the neck.

ASP Elly Maate, the kigezi region Police spokesperson told the press that the LC1 chairperson Kigongi “A” cell William Tumuramye, reported a case of a dead person floating on River Rwabakazi in Rushaki cell.

Maate revealed that the scene was visited by the OC CID Kabale and homicide. The decomposing body was retrieved from the water and the body later taken to Kabale regional hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

Maate narrated that the body is in mid 30s several injuries on the head and a deep stab wound on the neck, an indication that he was killed with a sharp object and dumped in the river.

Police requested anyone missing his dear one, to visit the Kabale Regional hospital mortuary so that the body is identified and taken for burial.
