PICTORIAL! Gen. Muhoozi inspects the ongoing KCCA road construction by UPDF/SFC

KAMPALA – First son Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba who doubles as the Special Presidential Advisor on special operations (SPA/SO) spent the whole of his Tuesday inspecting the ongoing progress and work of KCCA roads.
Gen Muhoozi was received by the Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka who was also accompanied by her Deputy Eng David Luyimbazi, together KCCA city engineers. Muhoozi together with the team commenced the inspection along Kiyembe lane with chears from city dwellers as Gen. Muhoozi kept waving at them while interacting with the the Executive Director and team.
His inspection comes at a time, when a section of UPDF commonly known as the Special Forces Command (SFC) have started to reconstruct and work on major dilapidated roads in the city. The Gen. came to the limelight after the outcry of Kampala road users calling for government intervention. This was also amplified recently as Uganda prepares to host to major international conferences of; NAM and G77 summit in January next year.
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba played a fundamental role in securing 2Billions for the SFC engineering bridge to start upgrading the roads in bad state in Kampala. Additionally a couple of months ago, President Museveni revealed that Muhoozi had asked him on the same concern to which he entirely agreed .
SFC’s Construction regiment last month embarked on a plan to fill 19,324 square metres (approximately 3 kms) of the potholes in the central division with a timeline to finished by mid-December 2023. Among the roads targeted include; Prince Charles Drive, Elizabeth Avenue, Wampewo, John Babiha, Lower and Upper Kololo, Impala, Nile Avenue, Colville and Kimathi Avenue, Kiyemve lane among others.
The SFC engineers have since revealed that, the progress already on the construction works, despite the rains and is expected to be finished within two months.
