National Teachers college Kabale set to celebrate 40 years of existance

National Teachers college Kabale in central division Kabale municipality is set to celebrate forty years in existence on Saturday 4th Nov. 2023.

This was revealed by the institution deputy principal Mr. Friday Rwamahe today in a phone interview with our reporter.

Rwamahe stressed that this function will be held in the college premises and that it is meant to bring together all those who studied from the college since 1984 up to date with the aim of knowing and helping each other.

He added that on that very day they will form a reunion for all alumni of the college ever since it began with the aim of working together and doing more tangible things for the college.

He added that on that day there will be a fundraising to raise funds for the renovation of NTC hostels which he said are in bad shape.

He said that they will also have a panel discussion about ‘trussing and tracking teacher education in Uganda’ where by Samson Kasumba of NBS TV will be the moderate for the discussion with many panelists like Dr. Ezra Suruma, Can.Dr. Kedrace Turyagenda, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba among others.

Rwamahe said that the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs the RT. Hon. Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga will be the guest of honor and that the day will be celebrated under the theme ‘Teacher Education for Sustainable Living in Uganda and Beyond’
