Kigezi Outgoing Bishop Applause Region Media For Exhibiting Good Relationship.

KABALE – The outgoing Bishop of Kigezi diocese Rt. Rev. Eng. George Bagamuhunda, has applauded Media and journalist in the region for having exhibited a strong relationship and patterns during his reign. Bishop Bagamuhunda was on Friday this week addressing the press at his office located at Kigezi high school hill. The Bishop thanked journalists for being good advocates of children and women but also speaking against bad evils in the society.

He added that the journalists have been willing to ask what is taking place at the diocese and further participating in developmental ideas for the Diocese and District as a whole. He also further thanked Christians in the diocese who have stood with him in Administering the diocese and the word of God.

The Bishop added that, during the covid 19 lockdown, the Christians never shunned him and that during his retirement, he is not going to forget them. He wished the New Bishop elect, Rev. Gad Akanjuna, a good luck in his regime and thanked whoever had contributed each and everything to have this function held. The man of God called on the public and well wishers to join the rest on Sunday in receiving the new Bishop.

Bishop George Bagamuhunda was elected as the Bishop of Kigezi Diocese, on 19th January 2014 and he is set to retire this Sunday 29th May 2022. He will be replaced by Rev. Gad Akanjuna, as the 6th Bishop of Kigezi Diocese. The consecration function will be held at Kigezi High school lower primary school playgrounds Kabale municipality.
