
Involve More Will Women And Youth In African Union Agenda – V.P PAP Women Caucus Bureau

Harare – The 1st Vice President of the Pan African Parliament Women caucus bureau Hon. Kamusiime Caroline has raised the concern of women and the youth involvement in the African Union agenda.
Hon Kamusiime Caroline Muhwezi who is also a legislator in the Ugandan 11th Parliament representing women from Rukiga District was giving her submission on Monday 25th July 2022 during a meeting with the President of Zimbabwe H.E Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa at state House Harare.
Pan African Parliament delegation led by the president of Pan African Parliament (PAP) Hon. Senator, Chief Fortune Charumbira from Zimbabwe is in Zimbabwe for a three day “visit 25th to 28th July 2022”to discuss matters of cooperation and bilateral relations with Pan African Parliament PAP.
Hon. Caroline Kamusiime said that youth and women form a greater percentage of the Africa’s population saying that their issues cannot be taken lightly at all level, thus urging to their involvement in the AU. “We have a big percentage of the youth and the women on the African continent, and these people have a lot of things they wish to put on table so that they can be addressed at the African Union level,” said Hon Kamusiime Caroline.

During the meeting Chief Fortune Charumbira thanked the president of Zimbabwe for supporting him when they were soliciting for support during the Pan African Parliament election in South Africa.
H.E Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa urged the delegation to cooperate and unite so that issues concerning African countries can be shared and addressed on a continental level.
