Wakiso – Left winger Martin Kizza has become the first signing in the January 2023 transfer window for the Uganda CAF Champions’ League representatives Vipers Sports Club.
The versatile forward has penned down a two year employment contract at the Kitende-based club, which will run until 2025. The transfer fee is undisclosed.
“I’m really, really happy to be here and going to wear this great shirt with this famous badge, it’s a dream,” said Kizza according to Vipers media.
“I’m really happy and highly motivated to continue living my dream on the pitch and giving my all in a Vipers shirt,” he added.
“Vipers SC have a wonderful history in football now. I’ve played against the Venoms; I know what it feels like to be in the stadium with the fans behind them.”
“I was with the opposition and now I’m on the right side so I’m really excited. It’s a massive club with great players. As I said before, it’s a dream to be here finally.”
Kizza joins the Venoms after his stint with Express FC, a side he helped clinch the 2020-2021 Uganda Premier League championship and the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup.
Previously, he also featured for South African sides Free State Stars in 2019 and Royal Eagles in 2020.
He is also a former player at KCCA FC where he started his career in 2014, and SC Villa where he spent about four years, from 2015 to 2019.
