FEASSA inspection team impressed with infrastructures at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School, calls for Government support to meet deadline

The Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) inspection team, headed by General Secretary David Ngugi, expressed their satisfaction with the infrastructures at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School.

Both schools, set to host the upcoming FEASSA games due August 16th to 26th 2024, have made significant progress in preparing their facilities.

However, the inspection team raised concerns about meeting the deadlines to ensure all preparations are complete in time for the games in Uganda.

To address this, the team has called for the Government of Uganda to provide financial assistance to both schools, enabling them to meet the necessary requirements before the second inspection scheduled for July 14th, 2024.

It should be noted that the head of state, H.E. Yoweri Museveni, is set to grace the opening ceremony of the FEASSA games. This event will be historic, marking the first time a head of state officially gracing the games, adding to the significance and prestige of the occasion.

The FEASSA inspection team, led by General Secretary David Ngugi, commended the efforts and infrastructure improvements at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School.

Concerns were raised regarding the tight deadlines to finalize all preparations for the games. The inspection team urged the Government of Uganda to provide financial support to both schools to ensure all necessary preparations are completed on time.

The next inspection is scheduled for July 14th, 2024, making timely assistance crucial.

The opening ceremony will be graced by H.E. Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda, marking a historic moment for the FEASSA games.

The successful hosting of the FEASSA games in Uganda not only highlights the country’s commitment to promoting sports and regional cooperation but also sets the stage for future sporting events. The involvement of the government and timely support will be pivotal in ensuring the event’s success.
