Mbarara – The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) political party Katonga-led faction by founding president Dr. Kiiza Besigye Warren Kifefe on Thursday held a consultative meeting in the western city of Mbarara coupled with a beehive of  other activities.

The former NRA bush war here who is known to have been Mr. Museveni’s physician during the  bush war but later parted ways with his boss seems not to get tired. As we speak, the retired Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye was in greater Mbarara meeting FDC leaders.

These were mainly from districts that form greater Mbarara including Rwampara, Ibanda, Kiruhura and Isingiro. Besigye’s entourage made a procession to the Catholic Social Center before heading to Nyamityobora for their grand rally.

The western Uganda’s interim president Mugume Roland Kaginda spearheaded the drive and top leaders like Amb. Waswa Birigwa, Proscovia Salaam Musumba, Harold Kaija, and many others. Party president Salongo Erias Lukwago, and spokespersons MP Semmuju Ibrahim Nganda were absent being hospitalized and out of the country respectively. While Col. (Rtd) Besigye’s blue-eyed girl Doreen Nyanjura is still on maternity leave

The thunderous return of the cantankerous Kamateneti Ingrid Turinawe, coupled with the eloquent MP Francis Mwijukye made the struggle regain its momentum, with overzealous wave of activation, Dr. Besigye and the group were on a mission to consult leaders and the population upon the formulation of a new political party in a bid mobilise the masses against the wrath of the current regime.

In a continuation of the series of these meetings, the stand is still the same as the idea remains the only way and in an overwhelming way to the idea of forming a political party. As many political analysts have castigated it to end successfully. Speaker after speaker asked Ugandans to tighten their belts, be ready to engage in the struggle as the only way to regain their country that has been placed into the rags of alleged dictatorial tendencies.

All is set for other grand rallies in Kabale and Rukungiri districts this week as the same entourage will be there to consult their supporters about the idea.

MP Naboth Namanya of Rubabo County will be the host along side MP Nicholas Kamara, of Kabale Municipality. The Rukungiri topmost FDC honchos Like former MPs; Betty Muzanira, Fred Turyamuhweza, former contestants, Nabimanya Christopher (Rujumbura), Hillary Ainembabazi (Rubabo) are expected to be in Besigye’s home town as they have been heard mobilising.

The district Secretariat led by Mr. Caleb Musiimenta and FDC Boss Alloysious Mugarura along side the chief mobiliser, Innocent Rubarondesa are in the area restlessly organizing for the historical and eventful day. This Publications will keep you posted on any developments on ground.
