Crested Cranes squad for Olympic Qualifier against Cameroon named

After the federation of Uganda football associations (FUFA) appointed interim coaches for the Crested cranes job last week, the newly appointed interim head coach Crested Crane Charles Ayiekoh Lukula summoned a squad of 32 players as the team got set to regroup and start preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers (CAF) 2nd round encounter against the Lionesses of Cameroon.

Uganda is set to host the first leg of the two-legged affair on October 26th, 2023 at the FUFA Technical centre Njeru with the return leg due 5 days later in Douala.

Ayiekoh and his technical team were tasked with the responsibility of steering the senior women’s National team on a one month interim basis as the Federation continues with the process of evaluating the applicants for the job on a permanent basis.

The winner on aggregate will advance to the 3rd round of the qualifiers.
