Rubanda – Ampeire Stephen Kasyaaba; the Rubanda district LC5 chairperson has asked residents to be vigilant in fight against the ongoing theft of domestic animals in the district.
Kasyaaba made this comment today on Sunday while addressing Christians of St. John’s Catholic Church Ikumba during a thanksgiving mass of Steven Bogere Nyesiga; a businessman residing in Hamurwa Trading Center in Hamurwa Town Council Rubanda district where he was the guest of honour.
Kasyaaba said people have been raising various complaints of stealing domestic animals across the whole district which has forced them as the district leadership together with security authorities to combine efforts with the locals and get a solution to the above vice.
“As the district, we have sat and resolved that every village led by secretary for defense implement the establishment of security committees which may also help in curbing down this theft problem where thieves are entering Rubanda district in different corners,” he said.
“I ask all locals to be alert of this because security starts with an individual.” Kasyaaba added.
Kasyaaba also contributed Shs200,000 and delivered another Shs200,000 from the State Minister for General Duties in the Ministry of Finance, Henry Musasizi towards the thanksgiving giving of businessman Nyesiga.
