Bishop Rubaramira Confirms 328 Christians Into The Catholic Faith

Kabale – The Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt Rev Callistus Rubaramira on Tuesday confirmed a total of 328 Christians from Rwanyena Catholic Parish into the  Catholic faith; 222  were females and 106 males.

Preaching during the mass at Rwanyena Catholic Church parish grounds, Bishop Rubaramira implored the newly confirmed Christians to be humble and pray to Mother Mary in order to help them grow spiritually. He further asked the people to start up developmental projects in their respective homes, if they are to have an income generating project for their families.

He said that people should embrace projects like rearing sheep, or poultry, which can enables them to raise school fees for their children.

Speaking during the function, the Kabale district woman Member of Parliament Hon. Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira who was a god-parent of one of the girls who were confirmed urged the children to listen to the advice of their parents if they are to be of  great importance in future. She further encouraged the confirmands to always attend places of worship in order to enable them to grow up in a God-fearing manner.
