45-year old Kanungu man strangled to death

Kanungu: The Police in Kanungu are investigating circumstances under which Dadson Byaruhanga 45 years old, and resident of Rwemishinya Cell Mashaku Parish Nyamirama sub-county, was allegedly strangled to death.

It’s alleged that on Thursday at around 10:00pm, the deceased was seen with an  unknown business man in Katete Town, and on Friday at around 10:00am, was found dead at Bigaga market Katete.

ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesperson said a report was made to the Police by a one Lillian Amutuhaire 39 years of the same address. The scene of crime was visited, documented and body taken to Kambuga Hospital for postmortem.

Inquiries are at hand and efforts to trace for the suspects is going on, and a case of murder by strangulation has been registered at Kanungu Police Station under the Ref No. CRB 596/2022.
