Tragic: Teenager Kills Mother over Alcoholism

Oyam district Police has arrested a teenager over the murder of  his own biological mother for over drinking alcohol.

19 year old Robert Olwi of Amwa Teduka Cell, Okule ward, Minakulu Town Council in Oyam District, is said to have beaten his mother, Sylvia Aol, to death after she returned home drunk from a bar.

The north Kyoga region Police spokesperson, Jimmy Okema confirmed the news.

“It is alleged that when the deceased returned home from a bar very drunk, the suspect, out of anger, punched and kicked her, claiming that she was a shame to the family,” he said.

Okema said that they have already started investigating the matter,and the body was taken to the hospital for postmortem.
