Bishop Barham University Guild Race: Nabaasa Promises to be a Proactive Guild President

Kabale – As Bishop Barham University  College students countdown to the polling day (November 19th 2022)to vote their next guild president, we profile for you another candidate who has also joined the race, his name is Nabassa Douglas Sankara.

Nabaasa promises to do a lot for the student community at the University once given the mandate as their guild president for the period 2022-23.
Nabaasa is a second year student pursuing bachelor’s of education in history and economics at BBUC.
He hails from Kanywero Mparo Town Council in Rukiga district.
He has been a leader since primary level representing different institutions and local councils, so he has the much needed experience in leadership.
He went to Kihanga Boy’s Primary School (2008-2014) where he served as the Head Prefect of the school, Kihanga Secondary School 2015-2020) UCE and UACE where he  served as the assistant Head prefect, and chairperson of the  school council respectively, and currently at the University, working as an assistant field captain
He served as chairman Youth Councilor for Rukiga 2018-2019,  and he is currently serving as Rukiga district captain and special advisor Kanuga Foundation.
Nabaasa is also good at playing football, dancing for God and is a man of faith who believes in the power of the almighty. On the sides, he also cracks jokes as a comedian as one of his hobbies.
He is very fluent in speaking English and Runyankole Rukiga, and good at Luganda and Kinyarwanda as well.
When given mandate he says he will be a proactive leader, who will be a bridge between the University administration and the students.
Nabaasa is campaigning on the catch phrase  “Service above self.” To the students of Bishop Barham University College, the ball is in your coat.
